Welcoming Problems as Gifts by Dr. John Townsend

Many times you heard the term blessing in disguise. well, EVERY problem is
actually a BIG blessing in disguise!
Everyone of us do indeed have problems in our everyday life. No matter how
small, they tend to affect us and our relationships etc... well, theres a
remedy. No, its not to stop the problems, but to turn our problem into a
gift from GOD.

Whenever you encounter a problem, look 2 ways. this is a 2step method which
may take you 1min, or maybe a few days of reflection.

Firstly, look UPWARDS.
Secondly, look INWARDS.

UPWARD
The first direction to look in order to find God's way through your problems
is upward. You must turn the eyes of your heart toward God, His Word, and
His ways. You won't need to look far, for He is waiting just beyond your own
ability to resolve your difficulty. Like a lost child crying out to a
parent, cry out to the One who knows the solution to our problem, the
lessons to be learned, and the way to get you there. Our tendency is to play
it safe. We're a little uncomfortable relying on an unpredictable God. Yet
God knows that our "safe" approach to problems dries up the soul. He invites
us to look upward to all His opportunities and resources. He is like a storm
raining down on a stagnant stream that has been clogged with debris. As the
torment floods the stream, the debris is broken up and the flow begins
again.

INWARD
The second direction to look in times of trouble is inward. Once you've
looked up to God, He will take you on a journey into yourself to teach you
valuable lessons. He will shine a lantern of truth into the recesses of your
heart, illuminating attitudes, old wounds, fresh hurts, weaknesses, and
perspectives where you need to submit to His touch.
